NAVY DAY
Portland, Oregon
27 October 1947
USS Blueback (SS-326) submerged in the Willamette River with Radio Antennas and Mark 6 periscope showing.
As she went down the  flowers lifted from her decks and floated down stream as Taps were sounded while a volley of riffle salute
went off to remember the World War II dead.
The boat laid on the bottom for a few minutes then surfaced.
